A wonderful family day out is in store at this medieval themed activity. Enjoy a fantastic display by Europe’s premiere jousting company, The Knights Of Royal England (29th-31st May) and be spell-bound by the Pocketwatch Theatre Company’s exciting interactive shows (27th-31st May). A themed trail throughout the castle will keep the children enthralled all day.

Based in Dawlish and Dawlish Warren this musical extravaganza of events includes Jazz, Choirs, Organist, a Festival Lunch, a Sing-a-long, Strings, Abba Tribute, Art Deco Jazz Band and Auction, a Grand Gala, Rock Choir, and an Eighties Party.

A Street Market & Lawn Fun Day taking place in Dawlish town centre. The Strand will be bustling with an array of stalls and on the Lawn there will be entertainment throughout the day and lots of free activities including face painting and circus skills workshops.

Enjoy browsing around this friendly vintage and antiques fair with something to suit all pockets. Free entry at the Strand Centre in Dawlish town centre, with an on-site cafe.

Vintage cyclists will parade on the Lawn in Dawlish town centre before they head off to two castles. There is entertainment throughout the day from the Liberty Sisters ( not to be missed ) and 60’s explosion, crowning of the Carnival Queen, free face painting and circus skills workshop.

Uncover hidden treasure and get a gold reward! The Donkey sanctuary is celebrating fifty years of transforming the welfare of donkeys across the world with a fun activity that combines exercise and brainpower. Spot the clues to find the golden carrots, discovering interesting facts along the way, find the hidden treasure to claim a golden reward.  Meet some of the hundreds of friendly donkeys, including gentle giant Poitous, the lovable adoption donkeys and the adorable minis.

Free entry and parking and dogs on leads are welcome. £3 per treasure hunt.

The dinosaurs are having a birthday celebration. Join in the fun at this exhibition of full size and scale dinosaurs, discover amazing dinosaur fossils, take part in the Explorer Quiz, and get a little birthday present with a Dinosaur Expert Certificate and a free 160 million year old fossil. Enter the birthday card competition for a chance to win dinosaur goodies.

Crealy Theme Park has the most theme park rides in Devon and with sixty attractions to choose from to suit a variety of age groups it’s always a hit with families. With rollercoasters and waterslides, this May half-term  Crealy are making a splash with tickets for £15 (you can use the 7 days for the price of 1 offer too so you can return to the park for the rest of the week for free). Race the family at the Grand Prix, zoom around the lagoon in a bumper boat firing an Aqua Blaster water cannon, or if it’s rainy there’s a huge indoor play area with many indoor rides. Crealy is also a farm, home to hundreds of animals including Meerkats, Alpacas, Crocodiles and barn animals with petting sessions and you can even book a VIP Animal Experience in advance of your visit.

Swashbuckling adventures with pirate themed activities and a sword fighting show at the pirate ship play area. A host of exciting activities like goat walking, animal handling, bottle feeding, bird of prey flying display, ferret racing and the Deer Train will fill your day with fun! Tons of outdoor play areas like Harry the Harvester and the Tower of Slides will amuse the children and three different indoor soft play areas and the indoor Pirate Ship Adventure featuring a full sized wooden pirate ship will entertain all day. Other features include the Museum of Farming with working vintage farm machinery and the Hall of Transport with it’s amazing collection of vintage bikes, cars, buses and steam engines – including vehicles featured on Downton Abbey & Mr Selfridge!
