Dawlish Warren Beach Management Scheme Nears Completion
We’d like to say a big thank you to the Dawlish Warren Beach Management Scheme and their contractors for bringing back our sand. We went to take some photos in the sunny weather yesterday and we were very impressed. We haven’t seen this much sand since the 1970s!
Look at the photo and you can see how much sand has been added to the beach this year ready for your summer holidays. Over 250,000 square metres of sand have been dredged from the bottom of the estuary and put back on the beach. The wooden groynes have been repaired and then buried so deep we can hardly see them.
Some of the workers in hi-vis have been staying here while they work on the beach and we’d like to say – Good job guys!
