Blue Flag Beaches, Perfect for Families

Our Local Warren Beach

The Warren Beach at Dawlish Warren is a Blue Flag beach, beautifully maintained and perfect for families. Hazelwood Holiday Park is just a short level walk away from the seafront and from all the activities at the Warren Beach Resort. With a fun-park and go-karts plus shops and food outlets you’ll have plenty to do when you’re not sunbathing, rock-pooling or building sandcastles.

If you enjoy wildlife don’t forget that Dawlish Warren Beach Resort has its very own nature reserve as part of the famous Exe Estuary. There are estuary and sea birds in abundance. Many wading birds can be seen here such as Oystercatchers, Sandpipers and Curlews, not to mention the famous Avocets.

Here are is a list of the beaches local to Hazelwood Holiday Park

Hazelwood What's On

Exmouth

You can take the ferry from nearby Starcross for a fun day out – Exmouth has two miles of family friendly beach, ideal for swimming, sandcastles or exploring the rock pools. Or enjoy sailing, diving, kite surfing, windsurfing, kayaking and much more.

Teignmouth

This is one of those beaches that will take you back to your childhood: you’ve got local fishermen mending their nets on the ‘back beach’, a Victorian pier and a parade full of amusements. With two miles of sand, Teignmouth has plenty of space and is also a dog-friendly beach. There is also a great children’s play ground at the end of the sea front. Teignmouth is a short train journey away on a beautiful coastal route.
