Would you like a bit of security for your booking? Our Cancellation Protection is an optional extra available to you.
If you purchase Cancellation Protection after 13 May 2020 and you wish to cancel your holiday, Hazelwood Holiday Park will
EITHER refund all monies paid (excluding the cancellation protection fee and the standard deposit) provided we receive written confirmation of cancellation of the entire party at least 56 before the commencement of your holiday.
OR, If you cancel your holiday less than 56 days prior to your holiday arrival date, refund all monies paid (excluding the cancellation protection fee and the standard deposit) if cancellation is due to any of the following reasons:
• Death to a named member of the booked party,
• Serious illness to a named member of the booked party (excluding COVID-19),
• Redundancy to a named member of the booked party, or
• Fire, flooding, subsidence or malicious damage rendering your home uninhabitable.
The protection is NOT applicable if :
• You or a member of your party is self isolating to avoid catching the corona virus,
• You or a member of your party is furloughed.
Any claim must be in writing or sent by email and supported by the relevant documents (eg a doctor’s note, letter of redundancy, insurance claim, police crime report).
Hazelwood Holiday Park’s cancellation protection scheme covers you and your party prior to your arrival. If you need to leave early for any reason you will not be covered by this protection. This policy is for cancellation and is not equivalent to a travel insurance policy. It does not cover you for travel delays, car breakdowns train strikes etc. You may want to take out separate travel insurance which is available from most insurance providers.
How to Make a Claim
If you need to cancel your holiday please let us know by telephone immediately. We will then ask you to confirm this in writing or via an email. If you are sending your notification the date that we receive your cancellation will be considered the cancellation date so we recommend you send it by recorded post to the address below. Our acknowledgement is evidence of having received your notification.
Cancellation Protection is charged at £20 for a short break of 4 days or less and £30 for longer holidays. Cancellation Protection must be paid for at the time of booking as part of the deposit.
