Tour of Britain comes to Devon on Stage 6

Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome and Mark Cavendish are coming!

Bradley Wiggins, Chris Froome and Mark Cavendish all feature in the Tour of Britain Cycle Race which will be passing within touching distance of Hazelwood Holiday Park next Friday 20th of September.

The race starts in Sidmouth at 11.00am and by just after 2.00pm they should be at Haytor on Dartmoor. It looks like this will be one of the toughest stages of the whole tour:

This year Devon has really raised the bar and will make history as the first stage to host a summit finish. Starting in Sidmouth on the Jurassic Coast, the stage will cover 85 miles (137km) of gruelling Devon countryside, finishing with a SKODA King of the Mountains climb at Haytor on Dartmoor. Potentially one of the hardest stages in the Tour and one of the last, this race promises to be packed with excitement and one not to miss.

The nearest point to us is just a mile away in Starcross where the teams will begin the ascent up Mamhead Hill (his is a killer steep hill with lots of tight turns!). For more information about the Devon stage and route go to www.tourofbritain.co.uk
