It’s English Tourism Week!

So why not jump on a bike and enjoy the scenery along the Exe Estuary

Beautiful Dawlish Warren is on the National Cycle Network no.2 cycle path. It winds it’s way by the waterside through some of the villages and landscapes, steeped in maritime history, on this mainly flat 26 mile-long route. Here is a link to more information

Birdwatchers be sure to keep an eye out as you follow the route – the Exe is one of the most significant estuaries in Europe for wildlife, particularly birds like waterfowl and waders. Go the whole distance, or amble along enjoying spectacular views of both the coast and countryside.

A mainly off-road network, the cycle path connects bustling Dawlish Warren to the sea-side town of Exmouth.  The route passes through the quaint and upmarket estuary villages of Topsham and Lympstone as well as the quay in the historic city of Exeter.  Darts Farm shop is an award winning farm shop close to the Route and is a great place to stop off for a picnic.

Bicycles can be hired in advance from Braking Wind Cycles in Dawlish by calling 01626 865161
